Engaging, Insightful, and Helpful

When you lose your spouse is a valuable guide that will provide comfort and help you navigate your new life. I felt like this book really spoke to me and I found myself relating to the stories. Thank you!

Her Advice Helps Me Get up and Live

Sue Page has an incredible understanding of a spouses grief process and practical ways to help you. For parents, working with grief and living again is a true gift that you can give to your children. I lost the love of my life! Yet, I can get up each day and “do one thing.” “Each person’s grief is like a finger print.” I am doing the work and I see that all of his friends and his family can talk about him because I can recall our wonderful life. Thank you, thank you!

Excellent book and great resource on spouse loss grief – Especially helpful in early grief.

The author gives gently guided suggestions throughout. The introduction recommends to read just one chapter per week. That is about all you can handle when you are in the grief fog and your brain is pickled. There are thought-provoking exercises to assist you in working through your grief and not around it. The loss of your spouse is likely the most difficult journey in your life.

I found it very helpful with comforting stories. My favorite is “Do One Thing” encouraging you in your forward progress.

Grief can swallow you whole, suffocate or smother you like a heavy wet wool blanket. Grief might feel like you are drowning in a deep dark cavern or unable to move in a tightly wrapped cocoon. From that cocoon you can emerge like the butterfly. I highly recommend this book.
